The Tale of Two Plumbers

The first thing we did when we moved into our new home was replace the upstairs bathtub, because the old one had a crack and because it is my life long dream to take all the baths I want. My Dad replaced the tub and ever since it has leaked. You could shower in in but not bathe. Now this has been 10 months of back and forth of trying to get it fixed, and my Dad doesn't want to and maybe the tub was faulty, bla, bla, bla. About two months ago we had a plumber come to remove a section of our hot water heat and I asked him to look at the tub. He said there is nothing you can do, you need to replace it again it is cracked. For many reasons it was detirmined that this plumber was a loser and could not be trusted. (Although I did agree that we should replace the tub. By this point it was making me crazy! So I called another plumber my Dad recommended we played phone tag with for the past two months and never showed up when he said he would. Finally, I got the numbers of two plumbers from my friend Mandy. Both of whom are friends of her family, and should be good. I called on the Wed. before Thanksgiving and left a message. When I didn't hear back from him by the next Wed. I called the the other plumber, he said he would come the next day, but ended up canceling due to an emergency, saying he would call to reschedule. Today the phone rang and it was the plumber saying he had time if we were home... we were... he came... He looked at the tub and gave Carlos somthing to put under the drain and some putty saying if that didn't work he would we would need to replace the tub. Well Carlos put it on, it worked my tub is fixed, he didn't even charge us. All of this to say, we never asked the plumber's name, we just sort of assumed it was the guy that needed to reschedule, but really it could have been the other guy. I finally find a plumber I like and I don't even know who he is! Is this not the most rediculous story you have ever heard! Sad, but happy because my bath tub is fixed, and for free none the less!

That would be great! Gus's is close to me, but I can come out your way too that's fine with me...Mon Wed or Friday is best because both are in school that day. How about next week? You'll have to give me your cell phone number. Maybe email it?
