Having a party

So I got an invitation to a Mary Kay party today, I must say that I rather enjoy things such as this, typically I am broke and considering the current unemployment situation of my husband spending wisely is the key. This being said, I am totally going to go anyway maybe not buy anything but at least hang out with the more financially prosperous than me. I say this because I realize just how many parties people have to sell things, that then gets them free/ discounted items (I am good with this by the way). Anyway this whole thought process reminded me of an article I recently read about having a party to sell goods made by women in shelter who have escaped from sex-trafficing. 100% of the money after taxes goes to the women who made the goods to help them save money to eventually be able to support themselves outside of a shelter. Really, what better cause is there than buying stuff I think it cool (I love multicultural stuff) and have the money actually make a difference. So I am having a party. Sometimes I just need to stop ranting about the problems of the world and do somthing to make a difference even if it is just for one person. It is not only help these women financially but also to educate those who attend about the problem of sex-trafficing.
